Egypt to Enforce Mandatory ACI for Air Freight Starting
January 1, 2026
What is changing:
The Egyptian Customs Authority has officially announced
that the Advance Cargo Information (ACI) system will become mandatory for all
air freight shipments to Egypt starting January 1, 2026.
Sanctions include customs fines and possible return of
shipment.
Include ACID, Consignor Code, Freight Forwarder Tax ID in
the Element OCI in the FWB, FHL
- ACID
(Advance Cargo Information Declaration)
OCI/EG/IMP/M/[19 digit ACID Number] - Exporter
Identification (Consignor Code)
OCI/[Country Code]/SHP/T/[VAT or Commercial Registration Number] - Egyptian
Freight Forwarder Tax ID (for consolidated shipments only)
OCI/EG/CNE/T/[Tax ID]
Application Rules:
- Direct
Shipments (FWB): Include ACID and Consignor Code.
- House
AWBs (FHL): Include ACID and Consignor Code.
- Master
AWBs of Consolidated Shipments (FWB): Include Egyptian Freight Forwarder’s
Tax ID.
In case of disregard:
- No
acceptance of shipments
- No
customs clearance possible
- Shipment
cannot be transported
